Love you, Pete, and I’d vote for you as Prez in a hot second. But the guys are right: These are wonderful ideals, but voters need to hear specifics—a concrete plan—of how the Dems will get us there. Until they develop one (along with cohesive messaging), they’ll continue to get their a$$es kicked.

Elected representatives afraid of retribution. Court orders being ignored. Members of the press being denied access to report on the administration. If it walks like a dictator and quacks like a dictator, it’s a dictator.

hmmm. women should never shame other women based on appearance, regardless of political beliefs. we have to deal with enough of that bullsh!t from men. shaming based on left vs. right, red vs. blue? go for it! it's still negative (and thus bad for your psyche), but you're not feeding the beast.

That was Denver, not Phoenix….a very Blue city, but still great to witness! (I was there…it was insane)

34,000 people were at the Bernie Sanders rally today in Denver (I was one...it was CRAZY). so hug Trixie and tell her it's going to be ok!

okay, first Mark Hamill, and now Adam Scott. you're proving me wrong with my dislike of actors as Smartless guests. (from the back of the theater: "dis episode was-ah hilariooos!)

oh my gosh, thanks for the laugh!!!

So good!! And I usually scroll past the actors when looking for interesting Smartless episodes to listen to. Love Mark Hamill...you know how to pick them!

Yeah, that one didn't do it for me, either. But Lord of the Flies (another mandatory high school read) is well worth a second read, or a first one, if you never read it.

Just went shopping at #Costco today, and I suggest everyone else who supports DEI programs do the same. Make their stock go through the roof! Oh, and dump Meta and all things Musk. Any time someone leaves Facebook, IG or X, an angel gets its wings.

MasterClass has an excellent lesson on the gut microbiome called "Gut Health." It's a great tutorial on how our gut microbiome controls our overall health, how our modern diet has destroyed it, and how we can rebuild it with the foods and drinks we consume. Worth the cost of subscribing.

Siddhartha has been sitting, half-finished, on my nightstand for about three months now. I'm a wannabe Buddhist who can't finish a 150-page book about the founder of Buddhism (I think...I haven't finished the book).

Nice!! Looking forward to seeing this movie. I’m so happy or Pamela, and the accolades she’s received for her performance. I love it when good things happen to people with a heart for animals…makes me think karma might be real after all.

Love!! We need more of this, please. Nothing better than watching an average kid having an unforgettable, rockstar moment.

Why reinvent the wheel? Dinner at Chili's followed by a night watching Entourage seals the deal.

They're still selling overseas. Oh, yeah, and they're still walking free.

Thank you for your choice of Luis Elizondo! So fascinating and informative. Your best episodes are the ones without actors (also loved Ronan Farrow, Marshawn Lynch and Lars Ulrich). More like him, please!

I read the news now, from sources that appear to be the least biased (Reuters and AP News, though AP leans left). At least when you read the news, you can control the amount of bullsh!t that's being shoveled at you, the quality of the bullsh!t and you can pick the bullsh!t that actually affects you.

Turning off cable news kind of feels like a walk through a dewy field of wildflowers, doesn't it?

When someone leaves Facebook, Instagram or X, an angel gets its wings. It gets a halo when people cancel their WaPo accounts and stop ordering from Amazon.

All I needed to see to leave Facebook was the photo of those smiling, weasly faces (Zuckerberg, Bezos and Musk) at Trump's inauguration. Anytime someone leaves Facebook, Instagram or X, an angel gets its wings.

Lord of the Flies. Are we Team Ralph or Team Jack?

not related, but I want to thank you for your "Tapestry" album. My mom had it, and I remember sitting and looking at that photo of you with the cat on the window seat, while your music played in the background. it's absolute perfection and a true gift.

thank you for the bit of kindness today. just opened an account as an alternative to FB, but when I saw all the negativity, i thought, "well, this was a mistake." we'll need daily reminders to do what's right and remain positive for the next four years.
