If you find yourself asking "How are they supposed to do their jobs under these conditions?"
Exactly. That's what media has been screaming about for years.

Musk is doing to fed agencies what private equity has done to newsrooms. Ask 10 people to do the work of 50. Cancel every resource that helps you do your job. Act like the job is easy and could be done by "anyone."

Yeah, finding non-evil tech in a society of enshittification is something. I don’t think it exists for browsers.
FWIW: I still have Firefox on my Linux machine as I don’t know what else to mess with. On my Apple machines I’ve mostly just gone back to Safari.

Here’s where I hope the EU (probably the only entity that could) funds a browser. Firefox is a joke, even before this nearly all their revenue comes from Google, but the alternatives are rarely any better.

I’ve preferred it to GMaps for navigation since before I went back to Android in 2017. That said, it really has gotten much, much better the last 2-3 years but I still wish there was a viable alternative to both.

This is my issue. When I came back to Apple in 21 everything and every service just got dumped into iCloud to make it easier for my family. Trying to separate all that has been a challenge.
