I feel like a lot of people in my age group/in nerd communities still have a lot of reckoning to do with the "not like other girls" speak. These circles have a lot of the internalized misogyny from their surroundings (media in the 00s was filled with it) that may still be unchecked in themselves.

Been devouring the Queen’s Quality manga lately, so enjoyable with its great characters & their respectful relationships. Worried I was enjoying it TOO much & would compare everything to it, so switched to Black Bird as a palate cleanser. There are…definite differences in the relationships, yes.
