America has to one of the only countries in the world that will try to turn a story about crippling medical debt into a feel-good story.

Oh come on, everyone knows Donald Trump is a pedophile. MAGA cultists may not care, but they know nonetheless. Unless they’re really, REALLY stupid.

This exchange is revealing, terrifying, and intellectually bankrupt. No world leader would ever want to enter a room to deal with this guy because he's a crank.

The answer is zero.

Fantastic summary. Please listen to it - approximately 90 seconds.

You don’t need a think tank to figure this out. Every single person in the world wants to be safe and comfortably afford housing, groceries, and healthcare. It’s really that simple.

do you know how bad it is to get cooked this hard by KENNEDY

Senator John Kennedy doesn’t get it right all the time, but he does here. Watch the clip to see the absurdity stated by Trump’s Secretary of Commerce. You can’t negotiate with idiocy.

Don’t like gay marriage? Don’t get married to the same sex. Don’t like gender-affirming care? Don’t have any. Don’t like Planned Parenthood? Don’t go there. Don’t like abortion? Don’t get one. Just because *you* don’t like it doesn’t mean *others* shouldn’t be able to it.

I'm pro-Bitcoin and even some crypto legislation but this is not a good look.

Someone referred to Karoline Leavitt as Taco Belle, and I just couldn’t resist.🤭

Joni Ernst on Medicaid cuts: “we all are going to die” JD Vance on school shootings: they are a “fact of life” Donald Trump on toys for children: two dolls are enough And Trump after a school shooting: “…get over it, we have to move forward” These people are incapable of governing. Or humaning.

“We all die eventually,” says Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, responding to a question about how Medicaid cuts will result in people dying. Don’t be fooled by false promises and lies—this is who the GOP is. They're okay with people dying so billionaires get tax cuts.

Yes. This.

A headline that captures so much about our current moment: www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

Bongino discovers that having an actual job is hard

Yep. The damage is already done.

Yep. It’s not a university’s job to “meet the administration’s objectives.” That’s fascist in nature.

The summary of the article is basically: (a) Musk and his companies are getting huge benefits, in regulations and contract opportunities, from his government efforts; and (b) Those benefits far outweigh the financial impact he’s gotten from Tesla sales and stock prices being hammered.

This

You can’t make this up. Republicans snuck a “tanning bed tax break” in their bill—the same bill that’s going to make hospitals go under and take away hospital beds. They’re too ashamed to even say it, too.

Everyone 6 months and older is eligible to get a flu vaccine. It makes no sense to restrict Covid vaccines to only people who have specific medical conditions. The FDA is basing its decisions on politics, not science.

“I don’t even recognize you, Secretary Rubio.” This is so well done. Respectfully calling out a colleague who so pathetically sold his soul. Take a moment, listen, and share.👇

It's remarkable how much of this administration's agenda has been laser focused on simply making life worse for ordinary Americans.

The Constitution is not the Speaker of the House's lane?!

Secretary Noem appears to not want to say if the picture of Abrego Garcia’s hand is doctored Swalwell: I have a 7 year old, a 6 year old, and 3 year old. I have a bullshit detector. I’m just asking you a question

Color me surprised….?

Agreed. Worth reading the 8-9 threads by the author. It is fascinating.

Kinda funny, isn’t it?

As clearly and cleanly as this can be said.

"No Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State." Nothing in there says there has to be an obvious quid pro quo. Utter bullshit.

The grift is next-level, and it’s happening right under our noses in broad daylight. @pivotpod.bsky.social @karaswisher.bsky.social l loop

Historian Anne Applebaum points out how ridiculous Leavitt’s lies are in this case.

Just noting - Trump is bragging about decorating the Oval Office in gold while telling America's kids to cut down on buying toys.

Bringing the gravitas and dignity of a New Orleans bordello to the White House.

Damn. Yes.

www.nytimes.com/2025/05/05/u... I guess someone can still get 30 dolls

Having worked in Manufacturing and Supple Chain management for the better part of 30 years, and probably 50-60 trips to Asia during that time….. anybody who wants those factories to return to the U.S. truly doesn’t understand what they’re talking about.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

Mitch McConnell is retiring after 40 years of working hard to make Kentucky one of the poorest, most under-educated, and unhealthy states in the US.

This

Perfection.
