They not only pay them well but also don't lay them off after the game comes out. These are permanent employees they keep, not the chew them up then spit them out that other companies are doing.

Doom dark ages was 80 eur for the base game digital on steam. Digital so you don't actually own it. Why is steam exempt from criticism?
Also when people asked Nintendo why things cost what they cost, Nintendo said because they pay and retain developers and don't layoff after release.

What an important lesson!
I think it was Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo who said something like "you can let it die from using it, or you can let it die from rust." I live by that now. Funny enough I find it takes longer for something to die from use then from rust.

Once again journalists missing the fact that Nintendo buyers are buying Nintendo games because they enjoy and support Nintendo games. If you like both Nintendo games and games in general you will have a gaming system and a Nintendo console. If you can only afford one you wil get Nintendo.

I played through shadow run on Genesis back when I was a kid. I had no idea what to do and I want to try again. The SNES game is totally different though, I believe.
