One of the frustrations with more extremist politicians is the changes they are trying to make are often so aggressive that it divides people and instead of finding the middle ground they're either right or wrong. For example, I think the majority of people feel that there is waste in government.

Interesting to contrast Trudeau's rise in popularity ahead of 2015 with PP right now. Maybe the Liberals are learning from Harper and recognize that their approach to previous leaders (Scheer, O'Toole) isn't as effective with Pierre. I'm a firm believer that the Liberals lost % of their former voting base but the reality is that if the economy improves in any measurable way you will start to see people drift back. People say they'll vote CPC but they don't say they like PP in the same numbers. Seems to indicate frustration.
