I'm sure it doesn't help that they need to compete with themselves because of it, and a Dreamworks film, and I'm pretty sure there's a 4th family film I'm forgetting about

Compare to Omochao in Sonic Adventure 2 if you like.
(If you pick him up and punt him he flies away and stops giving you hints.)

When I saw The Sixth Sense my friend had completely ruined it for me because it impressed on him so much, but when I finally got to see it, I forgot that I was watching that movie he told me about.... until it was almost over. (Then it felt like the punchline in a shaggy dog joke.)

I know people who think recognizing a plot design is the same as a spoiler, but I've always wanted to know how things work first.
I really don't understand all of the reasons why I may like a song or story but I know that pacing, rhythm, timing, all have stronger roles than the events themselves.

Letting you know this was noticed because, it's not really burnout for me but more like reconfiguring, with a chance that it might take all year or just never be completed.

It's that old "welfare queens" line. There's no such thing, but the possibility of it scares them

It sounds weird but it's scratches on the other side that cause the real trouble. The shiny side is meant to be scratched

This is also the first time I've ever had a job with actual whole weekends off, which means having stuff to do that is congested by all the other people who have weekends off,
a constant learning process.

So if you want to make something that gets a lot of attention, I'm not a great role model.

And when I start making things again there isn't going to be much mind to the zeitgeist, to wise marketing, or how anyone is feeling, I'm just going to have to make things for the hell of it and see if that part of my brain still works, something I've done more times than I care to confess.

And there aren't a lot of reasons to go back. That means light novels, an episode of something here and there, a ball game... and only looking at socials once a day if I can help it. And that means missing a lot of releases and not being able to keep track of all the emergencies out there...

Now that I'm working again, I'm still identifying the exact times I should use for unwinding, having fun, watching media, composing, recording, and I haven't worked it all out yet.
I've been avoiding "fast" media and "social" media because I couldn't afford to interview for jobs while terrified...

Earlier this year I was laid off from the job I had for about 21 years, and although it would have been fun or nice to use the space that created to work on things or fix up the house in whatever ways were still affordable, I threw everything at figuring out what to do next before the money ran out.

It makes sense for being able to convert it into graphics and marketing and such when the concepts are all in place from the beginning.
It also explains how I end up with "I think I'll just use a white square" and "I'll just put up a picture of the dog"

I think they're doing better than ABC would have in most departments. If the delay becomes substantial I might go looking through past broadcasts for the exact moment they stopped caring

ignoring the ethics of AI is dumb. like, we’ve accepted cars and capitalism, but we know they’re HORRIBLE and people are fighting for better city planning and want to destroy the wealthy elite.
why SHOULDN’T we feel the same towards ai?

I have no problem with the eventual wave of music makers who decided to take things in their own hands instead of quitting when Suno wasn't good enough
As long as the environmental and property issues are solved correctly too.

I watched as crappy front ends were built over it in the interest of "making it modern" and "easier to teach and learn," as tasks that used to take fractions of seconds took minutes if they worked at all.
