It's absolutely insane to require that every branch of government who needs an IT project done become a procurement expert in IT stuff. It's insane that we allow these contractors to bleed the State dry with shite that goes nowhere.
It should be in-house, built by people who care for results.

Imagine, if you will, the government had a branch of Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers, who could build this stuff in-house and who had the industry knowledge and expertise to get it done.
Sad fact: The USA used to have exactly that. Trump turned it into DOGE.

Like I'm not saying she has to be an expert. But I'm amazed they found somebody who doesn't even have the curiosity about the technology to have opened chatGPT over the last few years and asked it to write a poem about their dog or something.
