Yes! It's also so weird to me because so many characters in Trails are like this. And it's fine if you don't like her for the ways she's different from those characters, but "oh she helps the bad guys" is all they seem to say but like... So does Rean? Do you hate him too? Probably not.

Exactly! Trails is filled with a lot of characters like that which I appreciate. A lot of them aren't just black or white morality and you really need to dig into their motivations and background to get a better picture of who they really are.

I really appreciate CS1 as a sort of calmer introduction to the CS arc with lower stakes that gets you used to the new cast and setting. I think it works super well. It's just a very vibey game.
(It was also my first Trails game so I love it for that too)

Trails made this shit so hard because I wanted to go with US releases but I didn't know Sky FC didn't come to the US until 2011 like hello???

Unfortunately no. I adore 2 and 3, and generally enjoyed 1. But X just feels so drastically different from those games.
It almost has a more MMO-ish feel to it, and I reached... I think Chapter 9? I just unlocked the mech. And there was still almost no story going on. So I just wasn't digging it.
