I was watching an animated tv show with my 1yo kid and the episode was all about how one of the main characters wasn't around that day and my brain was like "they probably needed the week off from taping the show." An animated show. Yeah right now that animated being is off visiting family.

Bravo.
It's insane that this very obvious and simple belief is so rarely voiced on networks like CNN.

"No, it offends me as a comedian."

Now his minions will have to go on Fox and say corporations should use last year's profits to keep current prices low.
It's fun watching them scramble like frantic losers because he has no actual positions or understanding about anything.

We now live in a time when the next reply could claim Musk never said they were centrist, and then legacy media reports that it's being debated whether he did. And I just don't know how to even think in such a time.

Oy. We need to push back on any framing of elections in terms of electability.
Fuck electability. Let's foreground policy, integrity, and leadership ability.

(his inner monologue) The problem, of course, is that I'm empty of compassion. Can they tell? Better say the exact opposite.

He reworded her question. He thinks the effects of vaccines are worse than those of measles.
This reminds me of when dumbshit Aaron Rogers said "I've been immunized."
Anti-vaxers often don't just say what they actually believe. I guess because they know how dumb they would sound?

Well I agree he doesn't need more money. So then Hawley would support, say, a 99% tax rate on anyone with over $100 million or so?

Same. I appreciate that Max has a tile I can click and only see HBO content (I've come to trust their standards of quality) but I understand that many users just want to have another service with seemingly endless content and WB pretty much has to try to provide that.

Ya. Show me where Jesus said "but no handouts." Dude was a handin-out sunbitch. Crazy bout handouts.

Gavin's attempt to be culturally moderate left me thinking he either doesn't care about trans people or he's too dumb to see he's being baited into accepting a ludicrous paradigm that MAGA has constructed. Either way he lost me.

If a person says "fuck Trump" I am not asking who they voted for. I'll welcome that friend.

I know being an outspoken atheist has fallen out of fashion, and I get it. But I do sometimes think, well, we're still right about the whole thing. I'm more polite about it these days. But... I still think it's all ridiculous nonsense that I'm pretending to respect.

Do they know that exactly nobody's response to Trump's doll thing was "No, we indeed need that many dolls"? Do they think it's a simple disagreement about how many dolls a kid needs? I think they might really think that.

The "strategic" thinking behind not nominating a woman is what led us to:
-the ineffective Dems currently in office
-the many more Dems who lost to MAGA
I'm done with it. I support candidates/policy I believe in. Not what I think is politically viable.

Now, now. Maybe Carney will explain trade deficits to Trump and he'll finally get it and the tariffs will be lifted.

Also there's nothing to sacrifice for. The economy is being hobbled for no reason. It's perverse to equate this with WWII rationing.

Yeah the celebrity opinions shake out nicely for us. Now MAGA dipshits don't get to watch Goodfellas without becoming enraged. We've lost... that Hercules show from the 90s?

I also think it's a good metaphor. The system was glued together with norms. But I don't see why it calls for yet another "wokeness gone too far" apology for MAGA.

I know a common refrain here is "evidence shows that pointing out these factual and logical discrepancies (hypocrisy) will not change their minds..." but, like, then, fucking... c'mon... It should be goddamn enough that we're just plain right.
