VAR didn't even show the referee the best angle, disgraceful really.

No Haaland is rough but don't think it affects tonight's outcome regardless. Possession should be the focus now.

Went for tea tonight, the table number was meant to be after Nico's fine performance.

Bossed it. bsky.app/profile/opta...

It's all about control. He might not lead the headlines but Gonzalez is the reason we're playing this well. Technically excellent, never out of position.

Our manager is mental, the greatest ever but god knows how this plays out.

Have you ever won the treble, have you fuck.

Just glad to be in the next round, anything that upsets Keown is fine by me. Tuesday could be very interesting. 🫣

Nobody goes out of competitions quite like Mikel!

Should've stayed humble, spent too long celebrating the 'we beat man city' trophy.

The better side in a not very good game so far. Arsenal's only chances have been our mistakes.

Pound for pound the worst team in Europe. I'd love it if they went down.

Forest have been so efficient. Don't mess around when they're attacking.

Had to be Madrid, would have been wrong if we didn't face them in the knockouts.

The new format of the CL was/is a failure for me. Too many games with very little context. Mediocrity rewarded. I don't mind 8 one-off games (4h, 4a) but in smaller groups/leagues. The 36 team league means you just don't care what happens in the other games.

Ah the garmin triangle, is this the end... It's not by the way, for my followers I've contacted Garmin and their engineers are aware and working on it.

Great win, much needed start to the next week.

Actually a good half that. 1 mistake but we should be well ahead. We desperately need midfielders. We have nobody fit that can protect the defence.

Today's game sets the tone for the next few weeks. Need the team to find a way to be defensively solid again. Having a platform to build from for the Brugge game could be huge.

Kyle Walker, won everything here, huge part of our greatest ever team, all the best!

There's a lad protecting the defence at Brighton who can run, tackle and pick a pass.

Marmoush is here, hope he's ready to get involved straight away.

I've seen enough of this CL format. Monaco-Villa would have been a game I'd have been interested in putting on in the past. The lack of jeopardy has really made the whole thing dull.

Can honestly say I know nada about the 2 defenders that have come in, fun in a way.

Like watching a different team today. Foden and De Bruyne being match fit is a massive reason as to why we look this good.

Bournemouth under Iraola are excellent.
