A quick search of Cotton’s accounts show that the first time he posted a single word critical of USAID was 5 days ago, despite serving in the Senate for 10 years and the House before that.

I was lucky enough to join @jeffwaldorf.bsky.social on his show yesterday to talk about the dangerous chaos that Republicans have created. Go subscribe to his YouTube channel and check it out!!!

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic. globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

All I'm saying is...

When Stanford IT staff and a pro-diversity group shared a list of words they encouraged others not to use, it was national news, despite the fact it never represented campus policy. When the government erases any mention, data or research related to words, will it be treated as a free speech issue?

This has all the hallmarks of a hostile takeover. Entire departments getting axed, with little thought given to critical functions, public safety or national security. Musk did it to Twitter. It glitched often. It was survivable. Glitches to the FAA, DOJ, FBI, CIA? Less survivable. Much less.

I have news for you - we aren’t taking over Gaza. But the media and the chattering class will focus on it for a few days and Trump will have succeeded in distracting everyone from the real story - the billionaires seizing government to steal from regular people.

Ooo this is a good one ☺️

“Two weeks into a fast-moving coup by a South African tech oligarch, the USA hangs suspended this weekend in a liminal state between the constitutional republic it has been for 249 years and an authoritarian regime akin to Europe’s fallen democracy, Hungary.” www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/white-nati...

Up to 23.5hrs on the Heart Nebula. Also, I've been playing with a 300mm lens, and... it's kind of hard not cutting Sherman's legs. I'm slowly getting a feel for this lens, so I'm sure I learn to leave Sherman's legs in frame. Eventually.

Sometimes I legitimately can't tell if Susan Collins is acting in true bad faith or is just incredibly stupid. Like, I assume she's always acting in bad faith, but every now and then she'll come out with something where I'm like, wait, is she just really really dumb?

If anyone in or out of government wants to chat securely as the unraveling unfolds, I’m vermontgmg.14 on Signal. That’s my normal username, everywhere, with an extra Vermont: the 14th state.

If you are a federal employee, it is advised to set your social media accounts to private to prevent outside viewership, as reports suggest that loyalty screenings have begun.

Don’t worry, Mitch McConnell, we haven’t forgotten that most of this shit is your fault.
