Yeah I really try to do everything right these days and listen to my body. Cause not running is just more painful than being injured

I’ve also never tried hill sprints on a treadmill so FairPlay, sounds tough. I just run to a tough hill nearby. If I run on treadmill more than 10 mins I’m fed up.

Yeah you need to build up for running downhill but it is meant to be so good for ye cause you are stopping yourself from running too quick. But it’s great. Trail running is great. You lose yourself in a forest. Nothing like it and something I don’t do enough considering im surrounded by them.

Hate the treadmill, would rather run for hours outside than 20 mins on treadmill. Apparently running downhill is really good for you too. I read it in a run elite book.

It shouldn’t even be a question

Yeah depends on the session but I’m so much happier running on an empty stomach.

The looser muscles is defo a plus point for later in the day.

Can only run in the morning, empty stomach, cooler and your brain can’t be talked out of it like it can when you run at night 🤣

I love it. It’s like a badge of honour, feel great knowing you pushed yourself further than normal.

Yeah I’d take Ireland all day. The sun doesn’t shine much but we don’t get any extreme weather either. There’s never a day I can’t run. Saying that I’ve heard Canada is pretty amazing but not sure I could go without days running.

Has to be cold strong wind. When you turn a corner and go into a horrible head wind it’s exhausting. Obviously you can’t run in icy conditions. But it’s rarely icy in Ireland. So very lucky. #running #runchat

God you wouldn’t get out much in Ireland so. It rains every second day 😀 you just get used to it.

The same person who’s writing this is me of the main reasons he’s been sacked. Never showed up all season. Even in the final. Absolute muck along with many more. But Ange’s tactics weren’t great either.

I love running in light summer rain. Nothing more refreshing. Like it was this morning here.

God I can’t bring anything for any run. Hate holding anything, I’ve the garmin watch and that’s it. Worst case il bring a key if someone isn’t home. But phone, card, keys and vest would kill me.

Who is anyone else to say that running doesn’t make you feel better. Exercise makes a lot of people much better my daughter included. Tyson fury can’t stop the gym or his routine or it spells disaster for his mental health.

I’d run even faster in the opposite direction 🫣

Yeah but my days of being hungover get worse in your 40s so it’s a huge struggle

Well if you don’t change after 250 miles you never will. That is unreal undertaking. Hope to do something like that in years to come but il stick with the normal distances for now.

If it doesn’t challenge ye it won’t change ye. Hardship is great at times and you feel better for it. But only after you’ve done it 🤣

Depends if it’s marathon training and the last long one.

But yet there’s a load of commotion over two deaths in America and nothing said about the 40,000 in Palestine.
Fuck Israel
