I like dogs. I’m a Democrat and a feminist. I also read a lot (mostly fantasy and detective novels). #uglydogs

Wait, one can just sign up for free to go to the Georgetown Law event? Just anyone, including no-longer-employed former federal attorneys?

I keep seeing the posts about people’s top movies from this century and going “that movie came out at least twenty years ago, not this century! …oh.”

I called Beyer’s office yesterday:

The government runs tons of stores. I mean I guess I don’t know how many of the gift or supply shops at national parks are directly government run vs. run by a contractor, or at museums, or at federal buildings that give tours, or…

My extreme joy at watching Cuomo bite the dust has very little to do with ideology, at least in the sense of which policies I support. The US hasn’t been brought to its knees by bad policy ideas. It’s been brought to its knees by BAD MEN, and our inability to get rid of them. But today we did!

Though of course part of the problem with Potomac Yard is just the ridiculous entrances that make everything kinda far away.

Isn’t the Giant about as close to Potomac Yard as Mom’s?

I mean I don’t want us to be like the Republicans and the media isn’t going to treat us the same anyway. But I see they were able to paint Biden as possibly corrupt by just being in lockstep and then look at what’s going on with Trump and it’s so…depressing, really. Infuriating, too.

Yes, and it’s just one impeachment vote. But I do think they aren’t talking enough about his rampant unfitness. Maybe it wouldn’t sway public opinion, maybe it would. But it’s the truth. And a president deciding whether to bomb based on Fox News coverage truly makes us all less safe.

It’s obvious to you and me that he’s done a billion impeachable things, but it isn’t obvious to the general public. Part of that, I think, is Dems not banging on this drum enough/at all. And this particular impeachable act was also unpopular! So is his rampant corruption!

Beyer is my rep and I just called his office. His staffer said he voted against it because he doesn’t think it’s serious or that there has been enough deliberation. Sigh.

I live in a townhouse with a tiny, fully fenced backyard and a small brick planting area in front. I plant things that I like. Since the areas are so small and contained, native or not doesn’t seem important. I do want to take down my non-native dogwood and replace it, but mostly because it’s ugly.

I thought they were, I thought I heard that a while back. That’s the store I go to most and almost every time it’s a frustrating experience.

That’s why I’m sharing this story—and why I’m asking for your help. So, if you can: - Share this post - Tag the FDA and your reps in Congress - Contact your reps and ask them to urge the FDA to reconsider its decision (And if you're a journalist interested in writing about elamipretide, DM me!)
