Just a guy that’s helping to polish the mirror a little, so we can all see a little more clearly. Otherwise, we’ll be stuck in this funhouse.

Let’s hope we don’t look back at this day and say it was slow and uneventful

The best! The most discrete! And confident? A true confidence man of the people if there ever was one. Bigly confidence.

And it takes effort and expense to redeploy, er, reposition them. So why not just park them around the White House …

just now seeing that forward progress has stopped at 45 acres, and they're calling off the 2 air tankers I take that as a good sign

Now two areas to be evacuated - on the West side of San Elijo Hills along RSF

Is that regional rag still around? Pfft

No such thing‽ Granted, it's not in my OAD, but I do find it in the online OED, as a Unicode character, and in HTML. Oh well, they're your shirts. Maybe I could simply scrunch together a couple of the punctuation marks myself.

Oh yeah, that. Wouldn't we all be better off if there was an "undo" button??

Okay then! Are you that "someone" who has to stand up against fascism? We are eager to see your leadership. There is no time like the present!

Congresswoman Kelly, Thank you for recognizing that no human being should have had the treatment thrust upon @padilla.senate.gov As you likely know, many people *have* already had a similar experience - in California, in New York, and yes in Illinois. It's clear that we need leadership now.
comment in response to post
"What comes next" Senator @coons.senate.gov we have already seen similar mistreatment of too many others in our country. Yes, it's shocking to now see Senators being included. You're in a position to lead. Show us what you're made of! This is your moment!
comment in response to post
Ha! Yes, and I guess talking it over hasn't quite worked (yet?)
comment in response to post
Representative Whitesides, we who are in California are also disturbed by how @padilla.senate.gov was mistreated. We have already seen too many other people in California and around the country also mistreated the same. We look forward to your leadership.

Well said, Rep Garamendi! We do recognize the chilling similarity to Nazi Germany. We look forward to your leadership.
comment in response to post
Senator Cantwell, please do all you can to stop this now. It’s not far for Noem et al to head up to Washington. Stand strong! Be safe! This is your moment to show us your leadership. You can make a difference!
comment in response to post
Yes Senator, this is a defining moment! Hang together or hang separately is the saying (although with early decisive actions they won’t get to go that far)
comment in response to post
Senator, keep it up!

And they have arrested citizens, residents with rights, mothers, fathers, children!

Why repost anything from that has-been regional rag?
comment in response to post
Representative Huffman, thank you for your statement. What more can be done to protect Californians? Or to protect Americans? We’re eager to see your leadership.
comment in response to post
Senator Murray, Ask not for whom the bell tolls, its tolling for all of us Americans. Please continue your leadership in protecting all Americans
comment in response to post
Representative Budzinski. Do you think this behavior will be limited to Senators? Only in California? Get ready! We are all looking forward to seeing your leadership. For all Americans!
comment in response to post
The question goes beyond “What will the Senate do to stand up for ourselves?” The question is “What will the Senate do to stand up for Americans?” We share your outrage. We are looking forward to your leadership!
comment in response to post
Congressman, be careful. This won’t be limited to California. We’re all looking forward to seeing your leadership for Florida.
comment in response to post
This hits so close to home. Congresswoman, we’re looking forward to your actions and leadership. Make California proud!

didn’t even get to ask a question. He id’d himself and was removed. In LA. His state. He’s ranking member of Judiciary’s subcom on immigration, citizenship, and border safety, which has “oversight of federal agencies with citizenship, asylum, refugee, and immigration enforcement responsibilities.”

Thank you for acknowledging what we have already been seeing

Do it! Save yourself the angst and misdirection

Simply stop reposting that regional rag’s mumbling. Oh sure, there was a time when they had something going on…
comment in response to post
Congresswoman. Please be prepared. These types will not stop with Senators. They will not stay focused on CA. They’ll be after Texas at any point. This is your time to show leadership. Be strong!
comment in response to post
No need to rebroadcast that regional rag when there is better national and international coverage
comment in response to post
Yes, Congressman, him today and us tomorrow. Oh, and also you tomorrow (although we hope not) Please be safe in Louisiana. This is your chance to show us all how it’s done.

This screengrab and chyron font seem to match the videos. An innocent oversight? /s

Senator, please ask the questions @padilla.senate.gov was blocked from asking. They must be frightening questions and yet there need to be answers. Also, please be prepared when you are seeking answers to important questions. It is not right that any of us need to be cowering in fear.
comment in response to post
Yay for AOC! @aoc.bsky.social asks great questions! I hope she can get answers to the (scary!) questions posed by @padilla.senate.gov
comment in response to post
Congresswoman, this could happen to you also. Be prepared and not intimidated. This is your defining moment!
comment in response to post
Senator, this could happen in Minneapolis too. Please be prepared. This is your moment to shine!
