Discovered that the 'capacity charge' I have to pay per kw, per day for the honor of having a business that uses electricity... doubled last month. (This affects my solar farm). Why? Due to the "E11 Nuclear Construction Charge". Yup... They are screwing business customers to subsidize nuclear...

I decided to scrap all my 'deciding where each ship moves to' code in Ridiculous Space Battles and re-write it. Some pesky bugs made me rethink the whole approach and the new one will be better. Giving myself 2 days for this, which might seem mad, but its actually fairly simple (famous last words).

What is the largest single source code file in your game? Mine is 'Ship.cpp' and its 36kb. This upsets me, but its hard to make that class any more modular. Next highest is GUI_Game.cpp at 28kb, and GUI_ParticleManager.cpp at 20kb.

Its 2025 and windows explorer cannot handle a path name longer than 260 characters. It will just crash, despite NTFS handling 32k filenames. How is microsoft this crap? Firstly support proper file paths, secondly, a CRASH? who coded this stuff?

I remain disproportionately annoyed at the badness of the youtube recommendation algorithm. Everybody seems to agree it has chronic recency bias. I guess it must work, and generate more clicks, but it renders the whole site unusable for me. I don't want 999 videos on the exact same topic...
