As far as modern inspirations go, the deductive mechanics of Return of the Obra Dinn inspired some of the gameplay. The Last Night and Tails: Noir were also of some inspiration concerning visual effects for pixel art.
We're not planning any new core mechanics apart from the aforementioned feature!
