Yes but this language is contested. I agree that it needs researching but it also needs researching with empathy and co-participation. Calling us offenders is a bad way to start. As a system impacted woman, I would be happy to have a chat around language? 😊

Mothers under supervision aren't 'offenders' though, this proposal needs a quick language check. They could be justice impacted or system involved/impacted Language matters 🙏

Woman's Hour have always been compassionate thinkers. Back in 2009, I was interviewed on the mother and baby unit in Holloway. They were balanced and supportive, non-judgmental.
