I think an underestimated skill I learned later in my art career is how to idea properly; I think I was focused on 'making' when I was younger that I didn't realize how important ruminating and conceptualizing was when creating something.

I had a blast doing character art for our team at the Town One game jam last weekend!! I was teamed up with another artist (who nailed the background, props, and UI elements) and programmers to make a 2D isometric race to repair space vehicles while managing the customers that come through.
