Isn't it being named after Pfc. Roland L. Bragg? Not the Confederate?

There's no rule saying you have to do editing and drafting in a processed order. While yes, drafting should be a process of refinement, you can refine as you go or do it by layers.
I refine as I go and it's been working for me for many years.
Do you compare your process to other writers?

It's 100% an open offer! I have beta read for some very, very, VERY messy drafts in my time so you can't surprise me with how yours is set up, lol

Do remember that you are your own worst critic. And I don't believe in that advice at all. Every draft you'll be changing sentences and improving them. You can adjust, alter, rewrite, or do whatever to any part of your story at ANY part of ANY draft.

Do you need a beta reader?

Draft 1 is supposed to be bad. It's gotta be ugly. It's going to have warts and blemishes and broken bones and all that.
Don't get me wrong. This is super hard to get past. But as you write you'll figure out where there are issues and make note of that for the next draft.

Do you do any planning before hand?

I'd 100% say you have burnout. Being miserable while writing isn't imposter syndrome, that sounds awful.
Imposter syndrome always felt like doubt about what I was doing but I never felt miserable writing.

Have a friend give you the news you need to know and filter the news you don't need to know.
I do this for a friend.
