I felt for the one tasked with the repair as the tightness of the enclosure made affecting any work very difficult and removing it is verboten. Such is life.

The leak of course was left untouched, flooding through the enclosure and filling the floor of the cave with black water. Excellent food for the feeders below. To those outside the enclosure who ordered the build, they lived happy, out of sight out of mind. Never mind the mess.

In the overhead of the cave I noticed modern services, piping, conduit and such. In one of the pipes there sprung a leak, and humanity's general solution to the problem was to erect a tight enclosure around the offending pipe.

The cave is a primitive place, poorly kept and poorly maintained with many dark and damp corners giving cover to old and slimy life.

I took to the shoreline, and once upon land I passed a Buddhist monk standing watch outside a cave by the sea. I entered the cave, the depths where humanity lives on the edge of this great ocean.
