I have always said that Alton Towers has far too much ride capacity and they could do with cutting down on quite a few rides. I reckon they could cut a few coasters and still keep queues comfortably under 4 hours on a peak day. Imaging the savings. Imagine the shareholder value!

It has been announced that Scott O’Neil has decided to step down as CEO of Merlin Entertainments at the end of the year. Fiona Eastwood, Merlin’s current Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim CEO, having been at Merlin since 2015.

Merlin Entertainments have this morning announced two Minecraft projects in both the UK and USA. Though the locations have not been announced, the two projects will include a Minecraft-themed ride, accommodation, dining, and retail. The projects are set to open between 2026 and 2027!
