Haha yeah my whole experiment was to see if I could avoid paying for one cause they've become really expensive now.
Like $18 a month for a very barebones 6GB server which you need if you're gonna play modded.
You can go lower if you play vanilla tho.
But I'm still debating on doing it.

Also on a more personal note, I don't like Essential selling micro-transactions with a predatory premium currency as if it was a AAA game inside of a mod.
Wouldn't want my friends to have to download that in order to play.

Pretty sure Essential needs a player account linked to it so it wouldn’t work when loading from a server instance.
I think it can be done with other mods like E4MC or WorldHost tho. Haven’t had much success running those from a server tho.

Live2D has a free version, but it's VERY limited, so I do use the paid sub version. Sadly it's a subscription.
For PNG tubers there are free options like PNGTuber Plus which is the one I used. It's pretty versatile! But if you want something simple, you can go with Veadotube Mini
