"We can do it easily!" "So why haven't you already done it?" *incoherent maga noises*

Wouldn't this be grounds for impeachment after some "aiding and abetting" rule?

Hopefully it will make even 1917 look like a picnic.

It will happen as soon as Russia needs its army for anything other than maintaining a long and hostile front line.

Let them have six regions: Moscow, Vladimir, Ryazan, Tula, Kaluga, and Yaroslavl.

Time to put some torpedoes in the shadow fleet. Blame it on the weather, at first.

Essentially theatrics where Kadyrov says "I'm not worthy", and Putin says "I, Putin, decree that you are worthy", so Kadyrov gets an "approved by Putin" sticker to reinforce his legitimacy?

May those waters be full of treacherous currents, unpredictable waves, and sharp rocks just barely below the surface. And teeming with sharks, of course.

They say Buchanan was pretty bad too. But considering the amount of information, historical insight, and institutional experience available for Trump to draw from compared to him, there's really no contest. This level of aggressive incompetence and open malice is utterly unprecedented in US history.

I think you meant to say "disgusting".

They better start by showing them how much damage one of Putin's fifth-columninsts can cause to a Russian shadow fleet vessel when dropped onto its deck from high altitude wearing concrete shoes.

It's great in the propaganda videos, but pants IR.

I'd say "like a fiddle", but even that requires effort on the fiddler's part. Trump is being played like a CD, Putin only needs to push a button to get his favourite music going.

90 days? As if. It will last until Trump watches a random segment of a Fox talking heads show one morning, then impulsively decides to bring the tariffs back immediately, announcing it via social media without conferring with his staffers first. I give it a month at most.

I mean, if he has already sold out the country to Russia once, he could do so to China too. Cash for favours doesn't have to be a single-time transaction.

That might be, but every Chinese kid also learns that no dynasty lasted forever. The CCP Dynasty might go the way of all the others, even if China remains.

Because the President is openly and proudly betraying his country and its allies.

Not all of this needs to be attributed to Ukrainian drones. The glorious air defenses probably gave a local magpie one heck of a shell shock. And likewise the workers at the refinery downrange, where all the AA rounds landed.

Possibly all of them, depending on how much territory Trump is willing to assist in liberating. There are lots of little towns and districts named after crummy Soviet politicians. Why go after Greenland when Novaya Zemlya is right there, for instance?

Or offer it to Trump as the 51st state, on condition of American assistance to defeat Putin. Rename it Trumpgrad or something, because nobody remembers Kalinin anyway. His name on the world map would be the ultimate offer to a vain narcissist. Or even "St. Donaldsburg" ...

I've long held that Democrats should make a political issue out of not drinking drain cleaner. Make abstention from chugging this underrated soft drink the official, woke, Democrat position on the topic. It's supported by science and Big Pharma too. Then let nature run its course.

This should only be acknowledged with a counter-offer: 1) All Russian troops out of Ukraine 2) Ukraine in NATO, but no international bases east of the Dnipro 3) De-militarization of all oblasts along both sides of the RU-UA border 4) Recognition of Russia's claim on Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg.

Crossing my fingers that he's coming out as a woman. That would be the TV moment and plot twist of the century, so at some level it must be tempting for him.
