The senate map is always “daunting” for dems. When is it ever “daunting” for republicans? Oh never? Because they elect 40 senators from states where no one lives? Cool.

@maddow.msnbc.com

Yes, we have and we will.

@salgentile.bsky.social Just a quick note to say that if it was you who wrote the Trump/Looney Tunes riff on Closer Look earlier this week, you deserve a MacArthur Genius Grant. “They paint fake tunnels on the sides of cliffs.” Just perfect.

i have a boyfriend but you can't meet him because he lives in 75 other countries

Murphy: "The vast majority of Republicans, their number one priority is Trump seizing power, and the Trump family and the MAGA universe holding power forever ... with the exception of maybe 20 Republicans in the Senate, the GOP inside Congress is done with democracy."

What number even is this?

Questions for my friends at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP: 👉 Are you proud of representing this felon on his criminal appeal? 👉 Why do you think he deserves legal representation when he’s trying to prevent others from getting representation through the corrupt abuse of official power? (1/2)

If the US had continued to support Ukraine, we may have been months away from the end of the war. The Russians would not have been able to continue to fight for much longer. They were making almost no progress, taking huge casualties.

Michael Caine’s sweater game in Hannah & Her Sisters is unsurpassed.

I think this is correct. Everyone involved in aviation KNOWS FOR SURE that reckless/ rampant changes of past six weeks will, *for sure,* make airplane crashes more likely. But no airline exec wants to be the first to say this in public.

Those pesky Ukrainians were wrong to go into that war by being invaded by Russia, what’s not to understand here?

Shit about to get real

Reading Breaking Twitter by Ben Mezrich and it seems like what totally broke Elon was his Twitter poll doing whether he should step down as CEO (the majority of users voted yes), and then getting booed on stage at Dave Chapelle’s show. So he decided to take over our country, as one does

This is the Bad Idea Jeans presidency. "I ran on ending American engagement overseas, but then I thought: When am I gonna get another chance to have our soldiers die in the Middle East?"

I think it was the inevitable outcome of millions of people not understanding and not caring how their own government works

There's a very real question as to whether federal law will apply to Trump's allies at all during Trump's term. The atmosphere of impunity may be like nothing we've seen in our lifetimes.

I was confused by the first sentence but the second sentence cleared it up.

very excited to see what happens when you make a deeply compromised addict the leader of the department of defense and subordinate to a madman

SOMEONE PLEASE WAKE ME FROM THIS NIGHTMARE

Just fyi I write all the songs they use in Traitors and I guess I’d like everyone to STOP MAKING FUN OF ME

Guys it wasn't a Nazi salute. Does he retweet a bunch of Nazis all the time? Yes. Is he currently serving under a President who openly courts Nazis? Sure. Were there Nazis in the crowd? There were. Did the physical movement exactly replicate the Nazi salute? Of course it did! But what you don't unde

This is the GOP’s long con on full display.

The David Lynch shrine at Bob’s Big Boy just now:

A Philadelphia Eagles fan who spewed crude insults at a woman rooting for the Green Bay Packers during Sunday’s wild-card playoff game lost his job at a New Jersey company that specializes in DEI work because of his conduct, which was caught on a viral video.

…but they will soon be appointed to senior positions in the Trump Administration.

Clown show.

I mistakenly identified Glen Powell (actor) as Glen Perkins (retired Minnesota Twins closer) and can see the entire rest of my life from here. It's nothing but this, in increasing intensity and frequency, all the way to the end of the line. Honestly it feels amazing.

Who was in charge of font spacing for this episode of MR. ED?

Classic Shawn Hochuli game, with several penalties called for nonexistent infractions. Yes we know, Shawn, YOU’RE the star.

Two blocked punts in one game = Antonio Pierce is getting fired.

Unless there’s something we don’t know, e.g. a smoking gun in discovery, the ABC settlement w/ Trump really seems like a sweetheart deal for Trump. And there’s a through line with the Post and LA Times that is deeply disconcerting. All of these companies have vast holdings to protect besides media.

I'm gonna give Trump a million dollars. I didn't do anything wrong and he hadn't brought it up, but I don't want to risk it, so a million dollars seems like a fair compromise.
