All those dudes so desperate to look like Ernest Khalimov, who is 6’9” and also, incidentally, 52 years old. Conservative men are so broken.

I didn’t know that about background check records - thanks for the info. I don’t know if credit-card data is on Palantir’s menu, but if it is, it would make it easier for them to cross-reference gun buyers (except cash buyers of course) with social media histories etc.

There is an ironclad rule of American politics: If one Democrat sucks, all Democrats suck. If 99% of Republicans suck, it’s more important to focus on the fact that all Democrats suck.

Why do the dem-hating left think democrats are in power? Whats the major malfunction here?

Anyway he’s too busy preparing subpoenas for Biden administration appointees in aid of that super-duper important investigation into Biden’s mental fitness.

so I suppose it *could* happen, but - like the possibility this Congress would impeach and remove Trump - it seems… remote.

The president and VP *both* have to leave office in order for the Speaker of the House to become President. If Vance is president and leaves office while the office of VP is still vacant, then I guess Johnson would become president. Last time there was a VP vacancy (1974) it lasted 4 months.

Johnson becoming president requires both Trump and Vance to leave office simultaneously.
comment in response to post
I was merely pointing out that if Trump and Vance both leave office somehow, Vance’s VP becomes president. Not Mike Johnson.

Russia has offered him asylum (lol) so

If Vance goes, then it’s whoever Vance’s VP is. Which could be someone mind-bogglingly horrible like, I dunno, Michael Flynn or Steve Bannon or Laura Loomer.

Federal income tax withholding goes directly to the IRS. The state isn’t involved at all.
