Dramatic skies are one of my favourite things about the warmer seasons :)

Saw the first damsel of the season here the other day, a few dragon flies over the last week or two- always welcome!

4-Finally, if you prefer #Spectra #Peertube video links- that's a #Fediverse platform, like #Mastodon etc, so it is decentralised, non-corporate... files are also typically smaller than what I post to YouTube short: spectra.video/w/hM1TEPe8zK... full format: spectra.video/w/jMY1vP8fYd...

See my post a couple previous for close views of the flowers (some close stills in the video also) with full alt text.

err-- that should have said the other flowers I found yesterday are still to come- just about to download from camera, then edit, write alt text....

This is a local native wild shrub, in varied habitats. It's a mid size, open branched, nitrogen fixing shrub, and has been used in #permaculture for that soil benefit and its tasty bitter berries which were used by native peoples and much loved by birds! #florespondence 🌱

Thanks- I have several of this genus, with varying spination and slight differences in the flowers-- they are generous with the flowers even being indoors all year :) (and long past needing repotting...lol)

Nice colour! Well, you can narrow it down to 'Day Lily /Hemerocallis, but I wouldn't try to go any farther than that, either...lol

I happened to scroll to this video- with no sound- with Rosario Flores- Sabor Sabor playing- swear they were dancing to it!

exactly. I don't even think we should have much emphasis on the huge solar/wind etc installations-- they should be at household/community/enterprise level- we don't need corporations making gobs of money from it.

or dump them in water to rot and lose ability to germinate, burn small amounts and spread the ash (or cut off tops before they make seed, but the flowers of 'weeds' are good for pollinators, often). Things that might regrow vegetatively I often put somewhere to dry before using as mulch or compost

I do a lot of 'chop and drop' excess materials (plants that would overwhelm things you want to grow) can be cut off leaving the roots if they won't regrow. If they will, pull and cut or tear up, leave on soil. If they have troublesome seeds you can dump those where it doesn't matter, to decompose-

I'm happy to lump the #spring observances all together- the first flowers, warming weather, the greening soon to come, renewal of life- and some chocolate! Willows and poplars are in bloom, first #garden #flowers could pop any time. I'll be out looking for #bees today. 🌿🌱🌷🐝

I use that word to be official, but in the house we still call it styrofoam pellets...lol

For paintings/drawings vs photos, I also try to give some idea of the style and materials used. I definitely do want to create an experience for the reader, even if it won't be the same as the visual viewer.
