The latest album "Weathervanes" is outstanding. Fact you'll appreciate: Isbell wrote a bunch of the tunes while working on the set of "Killers of the Flower Moon"

Love the Hip. That said, these days it's Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit.

Something like that... 😎

Absolutely. Actually, a buddy of mine and I did some rental car "backpacking" around Europe in 2002 and kept a shared journal using my Waterman, so technically the pen itself has done a bit of traveling!

*put that together

I did not know that and had never but that together. Thank you!

With luxury fountain pens, things get out of hand in a hurry!

Mine are the M215/M400 size because I so often carry them in a shirt pocket. An M1000 is a grail pen for me, but I can't justify the price right now. I regret not buying one back in the day when I had bachelor money LOL

My pleasure! Iron Gall inks are my idea of living dangerously 🤣

I saw that. Congratulations!

You'll want to make sure the tines are aligned and maybe polish it on a 12000 grit micromesh sanding pad. That's solved the majority of scratchy nibs for me.

I think folks know that because of the timing it's a political chess move. That said, they can't quite nail down who made the move and to what end. There's a certain ominous air to the whole thing.

I concur. I've had Pelikans for over 20 years and they have handled all the things I've thrown at them like bosses. I love them.

I'd love to be a part of that if you'll have me.

Yup, exactly. It's an "entry level" pen that still works for me after almost 30 years. I looked it up again recently and I believe it's spelled "Phileas". I didn't know the model name either and was curious a year or two ago.

LOL thanks! I'm a guitarist and keep the nails on my fretting hand nice and trim. It's a Waterman Phileas. They were in production for quite a while so I'm not sure how to date it unfortunately.

I think I have virtually the same pen circa 1997 in a different colour!

There's a lot of cringey "Now that the Americans are gone" content. As of this moment, you aren't missing much.

That sucks so much. I hope this blackout isn't long lived. I don't suppose there's any way to get support from TikTok outside of the app itself?

They really do. I have 3 of them, the "youngest" of which turns 20 this year. That longevity speaks for itself. They haven't been babied and they've never given me trouble.

It's a Pelikan M400 from 2002-ish. My wife got me the custom nib a few years later. Fantastic pen, and super reliable. It works as well as they day I got it!
