KC Tenants is one of the most effective & militant tenants unions in the country & recently joined with several other tenants unions to form a national union of unions, to wield working class power. We will examine the strategy informing its organizing & discuss its application to Central Ohio.

In Columbus, there is a history of candidates hiding from voters, so that they can’t be held accountable. This may be the only time you will get to see and hear from some of these candidates before the primary. So come out and make your voice heard!

Current system is designed so that only candidates picked by the Franklin County Democratic Party & its donors are elected.
We’ll speak with Jonathan Beard, former organizer & Liliana Rivera Baiman, 2019 council candidate, about the limitations of the current system & strategies for overcoming it.

We’ll discuss the strategy, vision, tactics and what they learned from the campaign.
These organizing conversations are designed to introduce participants to local sites of struggle and community-led movements, to build a better Central Ohio.
All are welcome. Invite your friends, neighbors, family

We'll speak with some of the organizers who led the fight, about how they got the School Board from potentially closing 20 schools to closing 5. It is rare to get the opportunity to learn about the nuts & bolts of an organizing campaign from those who led it, so don't miss out!
