Much ado about welfare reform in today’s press … the no. of unemployed people per vacancy was 1.9 Sept to Nov 2024, up by 0.2 from 1.7 in the previous quarter. If the ONS broke down job vacancy stats by region and factored for the level of skills required, ratio would be much worse in many places.
