Happening now: protesters are outside the Fine Arts Building on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago this evening. People are in line to see House of Reps Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries for an event tonight promoting his recently released book. Crowd chanting at them, "we don't need a book tour!"

drugs have taken too many beloved celebrities from us over the years but drugs also have a rare chance right now to radically rehabilitate their image

Nationalize Amazon and fold it into USPS. I’ll do all my grocery shopping at union-operated Postal Foods.

We often hear people say “Democrats need a fighter” What does that mean? What are they fighting for? A good fighter is only as good as what they’re fighting FOR. Democrats must evaluate what the “for” is. It should be anti-corruption, anti-war, and pro-universal healthcare.

59% of Dems, 40% of independents, and 15% of Republicans say Elon Musk's antics have made them much less likely to buy a Tesla heatmap.news/politics/mus...

This is exactly it. The issue isn’t making profitable games, the issue is making THE MOST money the FASTEST way, the same way VC firms buy iconic companies and strip them for parts. Rocksteady could’ve made profitable and beloved Batman games for 30 years, but no, not fast enough, make live service

Edward Elric is one of the most morally ethical characters in all anime and he pays dearly for it.

My subscribers are OK with the newsletter's heavy politics-to-baseball ratio of late, but I was happy to get an opportunity to discuss them both. This probably won't happen again until Rob Manfred cancels Jackie Robinson Day because it's "DEI"! www.cupofcoffeenews.com/cup-of-coffe...

Not realizing that the reason Aaron Judge leads the league in walks is because nobody wants to throw him anything to hit because he hits so many damn home runs is perhaps the most Elected Democrat thing I've ever heard of.

This is genuinely and almost shockingly the worst baseball metaphor I've ever had the displeasure of seeing and shows that Hakeem Jeffries is an idiot in addition to being a coward. Just a total misread of what makes Aaron Judge a star and also what is needed this moment in politics

we are getting a national version of red state governance, where the people in charge do everything they can to impoverish the state under the view that the more wretched things get, the easier it is for them to stay in power

hakeem jeffries' wife packing up to go stay at her parents because she asked him to wash the dishes and he stood in front of the sink throwing his hands in the air and saying "what can i do, the water isn't even on"

This is actually an interesting Dem messaging shift since the election. They hear loud and clear that norms-based “democracy is on the ballot” messaging doesn’t work, so the focus is now on material conditions. Great! Except it’s still “orange guy bad, tsk tsk” and not “here’s how we fix it.”

Was busy tonight so missed the game but I see it was a great loss for the tank. You love to see it

Look I agree that Elon Musk appears to be on a lot of drugs every time he appears in public. That's not very interesting to me. I'm more interested in how many drugs he can do at once. I think he could probably do more than anyone ever. I bet he could take way more than the doctors say is safe.

This is such a funny contract and I love what these raptors are doing. I hope they end up a capped out 11th seed for 15 years in a row

"What are we supposed to do, we don't control Congress" "What are we supposed to do, we don't have a supermajority" "What are we supposed to do, our supermajority has moderate democrats"

Republicans nearly started coming apart at the seams because they were called weird. It was effective for many reasons but one of the most important was that it signaled to all of us that our representatives were starting to treat our would be oppressors with contempt instead of collegial respect.

Soo deeply happy for Philadelphia. Even if i'm not that much a fan it's amazing there's one great team in the city and you all deserve it so much. Go birds

This level of ass kicking is generational. Gonna feed Philly families for decades

Broken clock, twice a day, etc etc

Ok, Hurts and DeVonta look too cool to lose. Eagles by 25

Embiid should get the surgery tomorrow and they should shut PG down and tank. It’s time. There needs to be a new coach next year as well. They are a complete embarrassment

A Merry Go Birds and Happy 'hope you survive this game' to those who celebrate

If they're gonna get punked by the Pistons I'd prefer it be BBall rather than Tobias

Tobias put more effort in that one putback than 6 years of Sixers basketball and now I actually hate him for real

If PG cannot go literally one possession without messing with his hurt hand then get him off the court

Everyone go back and watch Man Seeking Woman please

You know what, maybe the guy who had to argue against Skip Bayless everyday *is* the perfect guy to take down Trump

Not to be too much of a sicko but those Phoenix 2nds in that trade should not be too much worse than the fake first the sixers gave up. Clear win w/o even thinking of Jackson for Butler

Thinking more on it and even if I think that's a bit much for Mark Williams you have Doncic and LeBron whatever, gun for it this year I guess. And it's not like he's not young himself.

Look, I know I don't see a lot of the hornets but isn't that a LOT for Mark Williams???

This really is wild. Never say never but there's a real chance we dont ever see a deadline like this ever again and we still have 15 hours to go

This lineup is going to set basketball back 2 decades but I hope it succeeds just enough to jump the sixers in the standings this year

Love Lonzo. Happy he made it back. Deeply funny for the Bulls to give him that extension
