They have updated the effects in rook a little for the home release. Mainly changing to wide shots and more shadow. Not sure it would help that bit though

Same here. Loved star wars since I saw it in Jan 78. Skeleton crew was best after Andor but do think the end was weak. Pandering to weirdos is a shit idea.
