as I keep saying Michal Kalecki, control of the wage bargain is more important to the capital class than output

Mundane, perhaps, but “consequences are for little people” has been the single consistent thread in this species since we started walking upright.

anyways, like I said, therapy programming. not really earth shattering, but pretty cool stuff to keep me occupied while the shit storm swirls around me.

My next target is to drive motion surveillance of event driven actors via PrimeMover and the incremental tetrahedralization through event driven integration.
The goal after that is to do the Voronoi Peer 2 Peer distributed entity tracking. Did this for 2D; this is now 3D.

So that is kind of cool. I'll be able to drop the ASM dependency for PrimeMover and sew that up into a bow before support for ASM withers to zero.
And it gets me coding a bit more and exercising ye brain cells on stuff that isn't just fall of a log easy and such.

Not enough to switch to Erlang, mind you, but certainly that grass was pretty green and I really wanted that on my side of the fence.

This kind of pattern matching (with guards!) capabilities does not just make it elegant and trivial to replace Visitor patterns, but it's also a close analog to Erlang's pattern matching which I have always had a deep abiding envy for.

But it has dropped me into the deep end on a lot of JEPs (like Sealed Classes) that I really haven't had any excuse to look at, much less actually use in anything. And really. The pattern matching capabilities of JEP 394 is truly wonderful

Again, it's still a struggle because I don't have a shit load of time to dedicate these days and it is a non trivial API - not to mention the non trivial transform I'm doing to support the Event Driven Transform (tm) of PrimeMover...

I think this was an excellent idea, as I got to say that as much as I honor the venerable Visitor pattern, I am really fucking sick of dat shit.
So with Sealed Classes (released a couple of releases ago) and the spiffy pattern matching in switch statements... I got to say that I agree with the man.

Now that the JDK 24 is out (yay!), JEP 484: Class-File API is delivered. Which is way, way cool. It's a bit slow going because Goetz redesigned the whole API, rather than just incorporating ASM into the base JDK. You can hear him jar on this here
