Thankfully for the youth, "just not showing up" is a pretty viable option. The US has next to no logistical capability to actually implement a draft, and they're ideologically inclined to just farm it out to a contractor using "AI" anyway

The fine print, not acknowledged in the above CNN story, is that the judge seems to still allow for him to be detained based on a bullshit technicality.
