You would be kneecapping smaller companies by forcing to not use algorithmic feeds. Same issues as repealing section 230 would bring. Large companies have the resources to comply with virtually anything, less so the smaller companies.

Even simple algorithms such as ordering posts by how many likes they got? I think it would be fair to put the burden of proof on thecompanies to prove their algorithms are "fair" and "unbiased", but this is a bit short sighted. Algorithmic feeds are good, they just be used for bad things.

I've tried the auto-correct explanation, it falls completely flat. It seems clever, but I'm unconvinced that it has ever convinced someone or make them understand LLMs better or understand why their outputs shouldn't be taken as "truth".

I can explain to a technical person why LLMs shouldn't be trusted, but I'm completely lost in how to explain it to non-tech savvy people with my explanations. How do I explain to someone, that a thing that quacks like a duck, walks like a duck, and *feels* like a duck isn't actually a duck?

Looks like it was first used in Syria in 2013, by the Syrian Armed Forces. Which, then the Russians made more "effective".

This isn't ideal, but at least it offers another avenue for websites to be paid. Ads are just non-viable if we are really heading towards a world where an LLM is between you and the rest of the internet.
Though I do hope we find a solution that doesn't kill the open Internet.

I can agree with *some* of Meta's problems with the EU, but this is batshit crazy. The moat isn't big enough, if Europe decides to cut off Meta products as a retaliation European companies can and will fill the hole. If China can do it, so can we.
