One of the nice things about my town just south of Omaha is that every Father's Day weekend, there is a carnival set up just 3 blocks from my house. I get to celebrate by spoiling myself with nothing but fair food and food-truck meals for 3 days.

So far, I've only watched about 24 horror movies this year. But, I have recently binged all but the last 4 episodes of Evil, and it has been a fantastic distraction from all the stupidity currently occupying reality.

Sure, it seems like the world is falling apart right now, but today, my daughter played D&D for the first time in a game I ran for her, her mom, and her best friend. She loved it, and the smiles from those moments mean a hell of a lot.
