Last time I asked someone to turn their music down on a train (it was penetrating my noise cancelling earbuds), they laughed at me.

Forcing other people to listen to potentially multiple different music from multiple different people dies call harm.
It’s just the sort of thing that REALLY sets of my tinnitus. It is more than merely “irritating”.
And as a matter of public policy discourages people from using public transport.

Not necessarily. In essential shared public spaces - like buses or the tube - playing loud music is an exercise of power over others. It compels them to listen to it & means they're no longer free to sleep, relax or work. Liberal societies often limit one person's freedom to protect that of others.

It’s why I’ve been watching the local govt reorg stuff through slightly narrowed eyes. In the one hand yes, we have a mad map. But on the other what we are NOT doing is working out how any of this stuff is sustainably paid for. Splitting Derbyshire into two unitaries or whatever won’t fix that

Interesting, it isn’t actually just branded chess.
“Each of the 2-4 players has their own gambit piece that moves across the chessboard, and your turns are always planned three moves in advance by laying down cards upon which chess pieces are depicted.”

The Frostgrave minis are great. It’s also worth having a poke through Wargames Atlantic’s Classic Fantasy range.

I tossed some mini chicken fillets in olive oil, garlic salt, and paprika then gave them 10 minutes in the air fryer the other night. They came out perfectly; I’m never using a frying pan for that again.

This is why you should consult with Jim. He is an expert in removing Kitchen Sinks as he takes his to Devon twice a year.

Oh, I've always been able to sell the minis as I retained IP - but neither party was to sell their IP to third parties without consultation. Quimbleys are now producing my work without authorisation.

Ranma 1/2 on Netflix. Centred around Akane (doesn't like boys) and Ranma (a boy who is cursed to turn into a girl whenever he is splashed with cold water … but doesn't seem to mind too much) whose fathers have arranged to be married. Cue trans lesbian RomCom with ridiculous martial arts.

My approach is to use Amazon Web Services, generate my sites statically using tools like 11ty and Jekyll, and it ends up costing me about 50p a month in DNS charges. Big learning curve there though.
Somewhat gentler (but still techy) curve would be to use Github Pages: jekyllrb.com/docs/github-...

Oh boy. This. I keep seeing people pop up on Reddit saying they "want to get into the lore" as if it was some kind of academic topic and they are setting themselves homework instead of a media franchise with a bunch of books and other things they could read for fun.

I've very rapidly become a fan of the metallic speedpaints. They've won me over from the Vallejo Metal Colour range (though I'll still use that for airbrushing).
