Well, it’s a good reminder of where you stand: with an ostensibly customer service industry. And with your government.

Great. The President of the United States has to be "handled."

Probably fair. But I think the very egregiousness leaves people grasping for ways to express themselves at points. I’m not excusing just explaining, I think…

Seriously? It’s the US Army man. Is there anything this guy won’t try to make a buck off of?

List the corporate CEOs you would *least* want in control of something called "superintelligence" -- 1. (Tie) Elon Musk/Mark Zuckerberg

Just to state the obvious, US Marines are not trained or equipped to deal with urban unrest. It isn't clear what mission they are being actually sent to engage in, and to listen to the president, it isn't clear that he has one in mind. That's very, very bad. Combat troops need Rules of Engagement

The president threatened Musk w “consequences” if he donated to Democrats. It’s hard to imagine a more blatant example of un American anti democratic threat. But at least we know where we’re at.

This is grotesque. I feel confident saying the schools are not ready to integrate these tools in a thoughtful measured way that’s appropriate & at the same time prevents abuses. Partially b/c I’m not sure it’s possible to thread that needle.

Sorry, Karine Jean-Pierre wrote a book on the importance of pushing back on misinformation? I hadn't realized she was going into trolling full time.

This started out as outrageous, but this has gone past the point of absurdity. The problem is every time you think the admin can't possibly do anything nuttier . . . they figure something out.

If I haven't said this before, if you have even a glancing interest in US foreign & defense policy, you really, really should be listening to this every week, it's just fabulous. That said, this episode is particularly worthwhile . . .
