Ah, yes, Wilson being too big a pussy to answer the call for his cheap shots once again paying off for the Caps.

We need cigarettes that have a smell that fills the air for only a brief period and doesn’t infest your furniture with the stench.

I never played the game, but this movie holds a special place in my heart from viewing at an early sleepover with cousins. Treasure Island became one of my favorite stories.

Simon Peter doesn’t recognize Jesus on the shore while fishing (did he get a haircut or something prior to crucifixion?), and once he does, he’s naked so he jumps out of the boat into the water. Really some wild scenes if you put yourself in their shoes.

Also bc I read the rest of John (King James version) and thought “this is wild.” Thomas doubts and Jesus shows up and is like “Go ahead, stick your hand in my side and believe.”

I kid you not, I missed half the sermon in church today bc as I read along with the scripture reading I got stuck on that line and thought “Wow, that’s such a sick line to drop right after surprising someone expecting to find your dead body in a tomb.”

I also found much of season 3 to lack the humor of 1 and 2. It got a little better towards the end, but it was mostly more serious/dramatic.

The Elephant Man moved me. What an incredible film. It’s definitely one of David Lynch’s most accessible, but it is not short of artful ways of telling a tragic and lovely story.

I posted in 2020 that Trump was already taking pages from the Nazi playbook. He’s only double and tripled down since. It is certainly not an exaggeration or a difficult task to spot the similarities in rhetoric and actions.

Thanks for all the quotes. I love that game, but more than anything I just love the writing. You’re a great account.

I would love to see one just following the Ratliffs during college basketball season. Preferably the 2021-2022 season. #GoHeels #WhiteLotus

It wasn’t until he passed that I realized we shared a middle name. As well as the DK initials. Pretty cool, pretty cool.

Never thought about it this way, but AC4 Black Flag is the only modern game I’ve 100% completed, so I’m beyond thankful for their dedication. It made me want to sing sea shanties and, yes, fuck a ship.

I’ve only recently felt massive relief from depression, and it’s in large part thanks to much help and the mentioned reminders. Said all that to say this: I wish you the best and send nothing but positive energy as you try to personally navigate the trials and tribulations of this life.

I also remind myself there has been and always will be evil and wrongdoing in the world, and there has been and always will be significant periods of suffering. But that does not dictate my happiness. I can still find pleasure in the small daily interactions within this world, in spite of evil.

I have to constantly think of this when I see something upsetting. I still resent the evil and empathize, but I try to center myself so it doesn’t affect what I can control, my actions and productivity.

Hesitant to share advice, bc I know you’ve probably given yourself plenty of pep talks on the matter. But as someone experiencing these same dark and disheartening feelings, what’s helped me is reminders everyday to control what I can and not let the uncontrollables affect my day.

Parker Posey’s character delivered again. That toast after the dad’s heartfelt moment… fantastic

Gotta think it’s tough answering factual questions when they live in a different reality.

Oh I know. Just saw it too and thought it was awful. That music is not for me in the same way I cannot stand the smell from a wastewater lagoon. It’s a bunch of crap, but I guess it smells like money to somebody.

Asking myself the same right now. Heard a performance when he was “new” with his story and thought “that’s nice but not my thing.” Now he’s everywhere and it’s not nice. Still not my thing. Sounding worse every time.
