Sigh, seriously, guys. For the love of God, don't make me tap the sign.

Greetings from Wisconsin

A little CHAS BALUN appreciation. We're all overdue.

A thing of beauty.

Do what you are able.

33 years after lil' Corpse Monger caught this fever dream at the theater, and I am finally ready to make COOL WORLD my entire goddamned personality.

I'm in.

Poking my head back in after a Bluesky break, and not a moment too soon. Strap on the feedbag, ya ghouls, because it's time for some SPLATTER!!!

Please help Jannat by donating or sharing.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - John Liebesman's TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING blows the '03 remake out of the water, and actually redeems it with its twisted efforts. And Wildstorm's comic followup makes for a perfect modern trilogy. Sucks about, well, EVERY movie after that...

PARADE OF SHIT THAT RULES MARCHES ON! Here, we have the 1989 Previews magazine solicitations for the ORIGINAL Aircel WALKING DEAD, by the decades-missing Jim Somerville. Frankly, I'd take this one over Kirkman's...at least one shamelessly ADMITS that it rips off DEADWORLD!

PARADE OF SHIT THAT RULES! Here's an obscure slice of comic madness from across the pond - FREAKWAVE! Like FURY ROAD on the high seas...so y'know, WATERWORLD...if it didn't suck (and from 1983!). It was illustrated by berserkin' Brendan McCarthy, who would go on to design...wait for it...FURY ROAD!

These are giving me life.

PARADE OF SHIT THAT DOESN'T SUCK marches on...here, a slice of off-brand, psychedelic pre-code horror, feverishly illustrated in mind-melting fashion by the immortal L.B. COLE! It doesn't get a whole helluva lot better than this, boils an' ghouls!

Unfortunately 2025 has proven to be one of the worst years of my life (thus far). HOWEVER this isn't one of "those" posts. I'm on here to focus on the stuff that DOESN'T suck. Starting here, we're gonna celebrate! This begins my PARADE OF SHIT THAT RULES! First up... www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKUN...

Couple more custom binder covers, for my ongoing archival projects!

Pulled this one from the files on my day off...the print ad that ran in CRACKED magazine (back when THAT was a real institution under Mort Todd) back in the Spring of '89, heralding the arrival of the infamous MONSTERS ATTACK! Close to 40 years later, and I STILL miss this perfect, shortlived mag...

Signal boosting this undeniable truth.

I realized I never posted this...oh well, only a month (and a half!) late, but here's me, right before heading out to catch GOST (not to be confused with Ghost, whom I also enjoy) at the infamous X-Ray Arcade in Milwaukee. A great goddamn time was had.

Today is my birthday. I've somehow survived to the ripe old age of 42. It's been an INCREDIBLY trying year (only two-thirds left to go!), but there have been some dizzying highs mixed in with the shattering lows. I celebrate those highs with brand new SURGERYHEAD. And not a second too soon. Cheers.

Monsignor Fulci's immortal classic THE BEYOND...is, I must somewhat shamefully admit, my LEAST favorite of his rotting canon. It's fucking GREAT but I honestly think City of the Living Dead clears it in the "Gates of Hell" trilogy and Zombi and House are just more fun? I await your volley of stones!

That is a goddamn compelling review right there
