Lol I use color theory sometimes. Opposite sides of the wheel for cockpit glass colors. So if the paint scheme is cool temp, then a warm color for glass. etc.
Lol I have post-it notes with the color combos I liked.

Also I do not remember where I learned it but working in "triads" also helped me immensely. Three color variations for each color used.
So a base, shade and highlight. Black is easier, no need to shade, cannot get darker than black. Highlights and shades dont always have to be of the same color.

Yeah wet pallete helped me immensly with thinning the paints. I used to dip directly into the GW paints 😬, no thinning. Was impossible to paint anything with detail.

I had to think about it lol 😅 About 15 years on and off I figure. Mechs are not to bad, larger ones are harder because of all the paneling but this paint scheme in particular isnt to hard. Just lots of layers and tedium. Cockpit "glass" I struggle with the most and prob. consider the hardest part.

I really hope that doesn't happen either. I really like the southwestern theme the Coyotes have since that is where I am from, and all that backstory for each clan feels like such a waste if they did that.

This helped me some except instead of grey I went with a base highligh of dark purple with corners in grey. (Hopefully BlueSky doesnt compress this to unreadable mush.)
