Just saw a friend back home had to say bye to their doggo mate, and it is always so heartbreaking. 💔 Even if the dog isn’t mine, when you spend time with them, you form immediate bonds that last forever. It’s one of the hardest things about owning a pet. We have to say goodbye one day.

We've been looking for low-freq. gravitational waves using pulsar timing arrays .... but there's some neat work being done to look for GWs (a little higher in frequency, even the chirp of merging supermassive black hole binaries!) using astrometry! This is super interesting work! 🔭🧪 #IPTA25

Really nice to see this paper by Jaimie Sheil in PASA. Jaimie faced a lot of medical challenges and couldn't complete her PhD, but she did excellent work to produce this paper. Short story - LINERs are very common in massive star forming galaxies. Why is unclear. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Still spinning out at Trifid Nebula’s reflection nebula halo. Imaged by @vrubinobs.bsky.social (I made some adjustments to darken background and increase sharpness in this version). We’re looking at three types of nebulae — created by dust and ionized gas — a bubble carved in space by hot stars.
