Our program has an emphasis on rural Appalachia so one could argue that a trip to Dollywood is educational

Discouraging = GLP-1s, but the rejects also sucked 😂 to be clear

It’s so discouraging (and I’m also glad to see other folks looking into this!)

Oh? Would love to hear more! Have tried Body Image, Stigma and Health… and then needed a break after those rejects 😅

Thanks for sharing! Currently trying to find a home for a manuscript about emerging adult perspectives on use of GLP-1s & links to stigma (our sample had overwhelmingly negative opinions of med use, esp for people under 18, but much attributed this to viewing med use as the “easy way out”)

The Straub book has a question bank online in Instructor Resources! I used it last summer as a starting point for my online async Health Psych course.

WCU has a terminal MA program as well as an APA-accredited post-master’s PsyD program! A majority of our MA grads go on to doctoral programs - some stay at WCU and others go to PhD programs. Alternatively, the MA program will also prepare you for licensure as an LPA in NC
