Yes exactly! Small firms may really count on the exposure they get by participating, but don't have the deep pockets to fund both the travel and the cost of their own time at the conference. We aren't exactly sure how to make that distinction but this seemed like a decent starting point.

Thank you! We thought long and hard about that one. The hope is also that it will give speakers something concrete to take to their employers when asking for travel approval in case employee investment is too abstract.
