To add to that, this War is somewhat approved, backed and financed by the likes of CA Corporations and Individuals like Musk (formerly of CA), Facebook and so on. CA makes, the world takes...and look at the reward? Now ICE is raiding CA. Farms, best in the world.

Education level in AR is one of the worst in the USA - lifespans are shorter too. Proud of all that, right?

Well, of course that's the idea - the problem is that most folks just accept things on their face and don't think of the PR value (positive or negative). Being from the 60's, we hade "black and I'm proud". Differs, IMHO, tho from our sexual ID or gender ID.

Many things can be true at once. However, when many elections are won by tiny margins, wedge issues are the reason one way or the other. I am not claiming it's right...but that makes no difference. I've heard it said out loud too many times to dismiss it.

What I mean is that now, since Pride is a thing, we've seen a vast increase in "Pride" among straight men....which has not been a good thing, IMHO. Yet who can blame them for wanting to be accepted as their historical gender role (strong, fight, silverback, etc.)?
comment in response to post
Words have meaning. One of the beefs many moderates have, as they state it, is "I don't care about your bedroom, but I don't walk down the street displaying hereto pride". BIG difference between tolerance, acceptance, understanding, law....and Pride. Prob caused the "manosphere"

There is more than one issue in KY. "Beshear's victory in 2019 coincided with a period of nationwide Democratic momentum following the 2016 presidential election" Using your logic, we here in MA elect GOP Govs (regularly) because....we like Trump? No. We don't want 1 party rule.
comment in response to post
So "we" couldn't have avoided it since "we" allowed non-issues to become the top issues.....instead of patience, we called everyone transphobes and they voted Trump. Hard to see the world thru the eyes of an elder churchgoer....
comment in response to post
Actually, it's provable that the T issue (backlash) got Trump into office twice, so watch out what you wish for. There is a fairly large subset of D voters who do not want locker room or pro sports changes. Moreso in Swing states. Many aged POC churchgoers....voted Trump due to T issue.

I was lucky enough to never work for anyone...so, in a sense, I never had to group think. I also had a wise father...who had every saying in the book. "put the shoe on the others' foot" covers most all human relations.

I was reading about the whole "neurodivergence" thing...turns out the definition (word didn't exist under about 200) means nothing like what folks ID it with. It means what you say - in a sense....EVERY single brain is different. No one is "neurospicy". Made up stuff.

With enough money, China will gladly supply them with decent weapons on a quicker time frame. It's truly amazing that Russia - and Isreal and US, etc. don't just STOP and sit down and say "we all want the same thing, this is crazy". The Chinese are now looking the sanest!

Well, this brings up the question about the many million who willingly died for "good" causes. Many people died for all of us. As another sage said "the dead are many and the living few".
comment in response to post
It is. I know they can explain it, but perhaps Human Rights month would be a better description. There are a lot of guys who have Pride in their sexuality...but that's not my thing. "Celebrate our Being and All Beings"

We might as well admit it. There is no God. Churches serve either themselves (money and power) - AND/OR they serve their participants. I wouldn't think bad of the Amish not wanting many types of people to attend services. Even they want...only those who want to be there!

Not until very recently.... Remember, they fell apart completely in about 1990....that was teh equivalent of going bankrupt. They had no government - no money. Putin built up big cash from Oil...so about 15 years ago they started building newer stuff...slowly.

Not a true statement - in any way - according to all real science - or even social science. Of course, the simple part of it is correct. We are all Humans. No one denies that. But we do not have 100% Free Will nor Choice in everything. Proven.

It's not worth the "debate".... I won't go out and beat up trans people nor refuse them any rights (even if I was in a position to). There. Done. It's almost as if we are all being asked to believe exactly the same thing? Hope that's never the case.
comment in response to post
And a guy fell 10,000 feet without a parachute and walked away. These types of "facts" prove nothing and are just trotted out to say "I win this debate". The 11th commandment - "you do too know what I'm talking about".

No doubt Trump existed twice due to just this issue - that is, it brought many over the edge. Evident in most polls and common sense. Unfortunately, the "community" doesn't care about winning elections so we all had to lose instead of having patience.

Natural Rights, yes. Our tribes, states, religions, clubs, countries, etc.....well, we've spent since the beginning of organized tribes debating just that. Even Natural Rights, for those lucky enuf to have SOME...most bought & held with Violence.

Or, God Forbid, we can understand that each person has an opinion and not doing so can often mean one doesn't think...is scared...or is part of a cult. Factually, tho, it was the T issue that allowed Trump to win twice...(IMHO, but evidence exists).

And anytime you run into groups that all think alike, try to run away fast. Hopefully Bluesky is about manners first.
comment in response to post
At one Farm Market I go to there is a group like that and they somewhat "force" themselves on folks walking by....I never thought it a good idea because when you bring up the whole issue in public you are also reminding the many who aren't in favor of current events.

Would you have told the Irgun that bombing the King David Hotel and killing vast numbers of Brits and others does not help? Of course not - because it is what allowed Israel to become Israel. Help those Palestinians? You can't help dead folks, firstly. What is story of Irish? IRA? Violence, right?
comment in response to post
Many, perhaps most, Men (head of households) would kill an intruder that hurt even one of their family members. In Bulk, same is called war or terror and folks definitely burn down or bomb houses full of civilians.

If we look at the world...it's in the many 100's of years. US Government and Taxpayers are definitely paying Native Americans something, even today. So....you ask the question. What is your answer? It seems to me there is no time limit.
comment in response to post
We know the Nazis and germans/swiss and private entities have to - to this day - pay back and give back stuff stolen from Jews WWII. 80+ years. Poles...tho...wouldn't give Jews back their houses or land after War...or ever.

As one who has DNA there and possibly relationship to King David, but yet reads history books - sure, Christians and Jews and even Muslims were "native" to the areas. But when you visualize, you aren't suggesting that we were the primary population? Rather 1 of many peoples there...over time.
comment in response to post
Using History in tiny shards is tough. Fact is, Israel would not exist without terrorism against innocents - I say that as a Jew with relatives there. The Irgun, King David Hotel bombing and countless other acts of "terror" forced UK, US, UN. That's not a value judgment- just history.

We must stop using those words like "right" or "rights". Does a complete non-political Palestinian family who had 8 family members vaporized.....have a "right" to do something about it? Common sense tells me...if I was the 1 or 2 left I'd want "rights" to make it "right". But how is ??
comment in response to post
Pls note - I'm simply "feeling" what is in the air everywhere. It was already strong just with Trump and the general anti-semitism (and anti-everything) he "woke" up in 1/2 of Americans...now we can add the real violence overseas, etc. to that.
comment in response to post
It's not unexpected. Is there ANY possibility that the situation in the ME will not result in turning back the clock many decades for Jewish folks worldwide? I'm Jewish and I don't see otherwise...hope I'm wrong. We wax poetic but Israel largely exists due to terrorism (Irgun, King David Hotel).
comment in response to post
To be clear, social science has proven that negative stuff wins the day every time. A "quiet" campaign scaring the right and moderates accomplished the last election. For 100's of years, the "they said that" (Joni thing) has jaded people. Really. Time to change strategy.

If memes and talking points other than Making American Great could accomplish things, I'd be shouting from the rooftops. Take 10,000 red or moderate-right & ask which boils their blood faster - Men in their Womens locker rooms...or Ernst? My $ is on the first. Reactionary wins. Hate wins!
comment in response to post
Maybe the time for Gotcha has passed...and memes? Maybe we should actually take things seriously - after all, no saying can beat Making American Great, right? "My words are big and beautiful". People are tired of gotcha.

At this point, supporting crypto is supporting slavery. The vast majority of actual payments - are going to organized crime who enslave 400K in Asia and torture them when they stop typing. Mark, would you like to listen to taser 20 minute long torture? I have link. You finance it.

1% of Americans have used crypto to buy something - and same to send money to friends or family. Is that a "different world".. The biggest difference is how easy our elders, etc. can be SCAMMED.
comment in response to post
1. 99% of crypto has expired. Look even at Trumps coin - how many losers vs. winner. 2. pushing for fake money to dilute our dollars (already has) - to gather votes from 25 year olds! Imagine willing to do that much harm.... 3. 400K enslaved in Asia doing Crypto Scams. 30 Billion USA alone. Scamed

99% of Crypto has expired........so there is that.

Cory, NJ Guy here...didn't you vote for something which has to do with Crypto? Crypto should be as illegal as terrorism....400,000 slaves are currently taking 1 Trillion a year from folks...in US, it's 8X all robberies and burglaries put together. Have the Dems declared a National Emergency?
comment in response to post
Dick, the very basics. US Crypt Scams are already 8X the total amount of ALL robberies and burglaries in the USA..including all Bank Robberies, etc. Imagine that! It's a true national emergency yet Government has largely declared "Hands off". white collar crime.
comment in response to post
Dick, this is a tiny part - negligible. BTC ATM's should not exist at all. We have now surpassed 30 BILLION per year in Crypto Scams in the USA alone - it is one Trillion worldwide. The US Government is now "in on it" w/Trump & others profiting. I am an anti-scam Warrior. craigsfire.com

No - those things give you lotion or some supplements, etc. This is purely a way to 1. Buy illegal stuff> 2. Influence elections, pols (bribes). 3. Make money by pumping and dumping while everyone else loses. Maybe closer to Ponzi (#3).
comment in response to post
His Crypto Scam is a tiny part of the American People getting scammed (often our elders).....that's about 30 Billion a year - and the worldwide total is estimated at 1 Trillion +. This is not by design as DOJ will not investigate. I am now on this cause! craigsfire.com

As long as it is used informally by those who have defined it the same - all good. Words are powerful and when nebulous can cause misunderstanding or, worse yet, some people to check out of the convo. I'll call autism/autism. Self-diagnosis for umbrella terms may not be wise. We will see.

A sociologist doing her thesis at about the turn of the century. We have to watch out for words like "expert" because someone in College doing their thesis surely does not quality...and, again, "social science, social justice or debate must be separate from real science. That's my point.
