Sorry I actually read Hawkeye and Iron Fist but just completely forgot that was him. I’ll definitely give his Batman a chance

Against the law to be homeless in the US ? That’s a laughable claim

Eviction laws vary from state to state. It’s not federal.

Anyone who buys a Jeep kinda deserves this

I think it’s because a lot of writers these days come to comics from writing for other media and go straight to writing for Marvel/DC instead of cutting their teeth doing independent or small press comics.

Oh man I didn’t realize those were at the same time. I’ve always wanted to see some strong style in person

The fact that like 75% of publishers have been purchased by IP farms probably invites this type of shit. #makeunfilmablecomics

I think this film was widely praised but I still think it’s somehow underrated. I feel like I’ve thought about it in some way at least once every week and a half since it came out.

As a card carrying member of the @santossisterscomic.bsky.social fan club, I am legally required to put this on the list. However, this comic never fails to make me laugh. Wither poor Todd.

All of his stuff is so good that the margins by which I rate these are tiny. I recently finally read ‘The Smell of Starving Boys’, which is unbelievably good.

Maybe, just maybe, truth sandwiches and knuckle sandwiches can coexist

I discovered Eisner because a ton of his work was available at my library when I was a kid. Turns out he had a website, was super accessible, and would email you back words of encouragement. Absolute legend.

It won’t discourage me. It’s something I’ve wanted my whole life. But now that I have a family it’s just something that makes me think about things differently. Plus my home address is plastered all over Santos Sisters so I’m not hard to find.

I can totally accept that they’re most likely toothless. It’s just bewildering to me that anyone would want to instill fear in the lives and families of writers over comic books.

Great list ! Personally I would suggest Blood on the Tracks by Shuzo Oshimi to anyone who hasn’t read it yet. The 17th (and final) volume came out this fall. It’s one of the best comics I’ve ever read.

Is this a common thing for writers on marvel/dc books ? Makes me take pause at wanting to work my way up there

The Music of Chance was another great one if you haven’t already read it.

That’s maybe the best Sub-Mariner comic I’ve ever read.
