There's a reason why MTG has made so few cards that allow you to remove cards from your opponent's deck before they play them. It's shitty and it feels bad to play against it without any possibility of counterplay.

All I ever face now, no matter if I'm playing ranked or unranked, are sweaty meta decks that fully remove any element of joy I might find in the game. There is no room for the casual player anymore. Everything is power creep and griefing.

Truer words were never spoken. People have decreased their viewing of NJPW (or stopped watching altogether) because of House of Torture. I would know, because I'm one of the ones that usually turns off the broadcast when House of Torture is on. Wrestle Kingdom is the only time I make an exception.
