Any Democrat that runs in 2028 needs to promise to add more justices. We need at least 13, as the number of Supreme Court justices used to be tied to the number of federal circuits. Any Dem that refuses to expand the Court needs to be written off as unserious

Same! Since I started my gym journey in 2023 my favorite shirt (a short sleeve button down with a banana pattern) just straight up does not fit. Being too swole is a good problem to have but I do miss wearing that shirt

As someone who earned their protesting stripes during OWS, I never would've thought the boomers would eventually be the more radical ones over the twentysomethings

Honest question: If it does get to that point is the acceptable response showing up outside of SCOTUS judges' houses with pitchforks and torches?

What strikes me is how the conventional Democratic Party/beltway reporter consensus continues to be wrong. From arguing Dems should ignore immigrations issues b/c it was an electoral loser to underestimating the amount of loathing NYC voters have for Cuomo, they continue to miss the moment.

I know there's IP issues with the Crimson King that are apparently holding up production, but given that the Crimson King never actually interacts with any of the ka-tet in the books they might be able to get away with calling him something else like the red emperor

Really hoping the Mike Flanagan Dark Tower series is light on CGI. One thing that makes that series so visceral is the minimalist settings and the rawness of the violence

I somewhat understand people like Kaptur who represent districts Trump won, but Raskin???

I feel that, public service should always be about serving the public, and the role of the people is to loudly influence public servants. But you can't serve the public unless you win, and cobbling together a winning coalition sometimes requires doing things that are unpopular with certain factions

You're a brave man, visiting NOLA in June! Best time to go is mid-March, as the Mardi Gras madness has settled down and it's not too hot yet (Also I highly recommend the Creole Cookery on Toulouse Street if you want some good Louisiana food)

we will not make our way out of authoritarianism without a massive rebuild of the democratic party and the pressure needs to be utterly relentless or we are genuinely lost
