People have the right to self defense. Entities have a right to self defense when attacked.

Here is a newspaper explaining that a county in North Carolina, over 100 years ago, adopted a policy to deny every female a permit. In addition to this, few permits were given to black people. This law was in effect until 2023 and Democrat Gov Roy Cooper fought to keep it law.
