Cleaned up the gobbo a bit. Decided to flatten the image (merge all the layers into one) and just paint over it. So far, I REALLY like the way the brushes and blending tools blend value. I can't explain it, but it feels a lot better than it does in CSP.

Drawing with Krita still feels like I'm fighting for my life with all the on the fly googling and adjustments I do, but I'm vibing with the brushes I found and the blending tools a lot more than I do in CSP (at least the blending part). Have a crusty little goblin sketch while I figure things out.

Had another sketch colored by linktr.ee/OtherwiseKnown! The original was made by the amazing @critterstew.bsky.social! Although I had forgotten to ask them to make the portals red, I like how this coloring turned out, so I might keep these ones blue!

You know that sizzling sound a piece of meat makes as it hits a hot pan? My finger just made that sound as I grabbed the rack in my oven to stabilize it. Luckily, my hands were wet from doing the dishes. So, I'm missing 1/3 of my index fingerprint in a / shape, but it's not blistering yet!

Day two fist fighting Krita in the McDonalds parking lot to reset my brushes and tags. I just want a hard round, soft round, pencil, and a smudge, and I won't stop deleting system files until I get them. I think CSP has spoiled me with their asset store and management tools.

I'm working on the hellhound illustration, and I'm just not vibing with it at all for some reason. A really interesting feeling, since I found the original idea quite fun. We'll see if I power through or do something else. I could always reuse the character and do something else.

I love rainy, windy, gloomy days (so, most eastern european days) when I don't have to go out, or do stuff. Unfortunately, I do have to go out and do stuff. Bleh. Can't wait to finish up with work, do the outside stuff, and then wrap myself in a blanket, get some tea, and try modding Krita.

The goblins have been bullying everyone for long enough! Time to bully them back. So, we're going to be dominating them with a hellhound. Let me know if you guys like A or B I think my goal for this one is going to be to try and paint all the color stuff as manually as I can (few layer modes).
