Pretty much done with work for today, so I'll just be chipping away at this. Not sure why, but I'm not vibing with my linework brush today. Might try something different. WIP. I might change some things around a bit. We'll see.

I kind of want to take the month or two to do my own thing and study, so maybe a YCH is a good idea? Boosts my stuff while I work on my weak points. How would you guys feel about something like that? I'll give it some thought, and if there's any interest, I might start gathering ideas.

There we go, have some insane ramblings. I think the best thing to do will be to go through individual face holes and bits and review their PROPER construction, instead of sprinkling facial features randomly.

Little goblin sketch. The best I could do before I started muddying things up with my values. (1h 7m work time) No color because the goal will be shading and construction. The next bit is to tear this sketch a new asshole by critiquing myself, and working on the pain points over the next few weeks.

Time to start the study arc. The plan is to watch as many tutorials and videos on facial construction & anatomy, and try to apply them to one of my characters. Maybe I'll pull from the list of portraits from the previous offer. We'll see. If anyone has video or resource suggestions, let me know!

Okay, two days is enough rest. It's Friday, my workweek is done, so it's time to get some Chinese food (love that 90% sugar, 10% MSG ratio) and study up on some portraits. I'd love to do 100 portraits at some point, but there are some individual parts of the face I need to study up on first.

I need to start shopping for a new monitor, that's at least somewhat color accurate. Anyone got any suggestions? Ideally at around 27" and 1440p. Budget ~400$? I rarely game, so I don't need a high refresh rate or response time The Asus ProArt series looks good, but I'm open to suggestions

I've got one commission left (not confirmed yet), and it's a really weird feeling. Between commission work, and two YCHs I hosted, literally all of my spare time since mid November up until yesterday was planned out. It's very relieving, but at the same the time absence of stress is odd.

Commission WIP. Still in the rough stage, but this is how I decide my lighting and composition stuff. Then I move on to color. Funfact - I'll shade and draw in color, with a grayscale filter, that way I can just go back and change the color later, instead of having to worry about it as I shade.
